CaladanCore
The financial engine that keeps every number honest.
A full three-statement model, budget-vs-actual with variance commentary, and the Milestone Register that makes one change cascade everywhere. Every figure is computed in code and traces to a source, so the numbers you present are defensible enough for the board and current enough for Tuesday morning.
The hub every module connects to. In production, limited availability. Book a demo to see it live.

Updates the whole model
One Milestone Register. Change it once.
The Milestone Register is the single source of truth for every company milestone: regulatory, clinical, CMC, and corporate. The whole model reads from it, so a date change is not a week of manual rework across five files. It is one edit that flows everywhere.
Change one date
First-patient-in slips three months. You update it once, in the Milestone Register.
Costs reprice
The enrollment curve is repriced in TrialCast and the timing of patient and site costs shifts with it.
The statements recompute
The three-statement model and burn recompute against the new timeline, every figure still tracing to its source.
Runway re-times the raise
RunwayMap redraws the cash curve and moves the funding event, so you see the consequence in the room, not next week.
Three statements that reconcile to one source.
P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow that tie out to the same model, driven by purpose-built forecast engines, with budget-vs-actual and forecast-vs-actual you can drill down to the line.
Budget vs. actual, down to the line
CaladanCore holds your chart of accounts and produces a full three-statement model that reconciles to one source. Compare budget to actual and forecast to actual, then drill from any line down to the transactions beneath it. When a number moves, you can see exactly why.
- ✓ Full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow from one reconciled model
- ✓ Budget-vs-actual and forecast-vs-actual with line-level drill-down
- ✓ Actuals imported from QuickBooks and BILL.com

Code computes every figure. AI writes only the narrative.
The one line that lets a CFO put their name on the output: no number in CaladanCore comes from a model.
Every number traces to source
"Burn rose on CMC timing, offset by slower site activation." AI explains the figure; the engine computes it.
AI never invents a number
Every figure CaladanCore shows is calculated by a deterministic engine and traces to a source transaction. AI is structurally blocked from emitting a number, and any number it tries to produce is screened out and logged before it can reach a statement. What AI does is write the variance commentary: the plain-language explanation of a figure the engine already computed.
Where a figure is missing, CaladanCore shows it as missing rather than guessing. For a finance team that has to stand behind every line, that boundary is the difference between a tool you can trust and a black box you cannot.
Promote a scenario into your live forecast, safely.
Model the change beside your live numbers, compare, then commit it only when you are ready.
Model it, compare it, then commit it
Build a scenario next to your live forecast, whether it is a slipped milestone, an added cohort, or a raise moved out a quarter. Compare the two side by side. When the scenario is the plan of record, promote it into the live model in one step.
- ✓ A validation gate checks the scenario before it goes live
- ✓ An undo window lets you roll the promotion back
- ✓ Your live forecast is never overwritten by accident
AP Roll-Forward is coming inside CaladanCore
Accrual automation, the AP Roll-Forward, is on the roadmap and will live inside CaladanCore rather than as a separate module. It is not yet available. Everything above, the three-statement model, budget-vs-actual variance commentary, the forecast engines, and the milestone cascade, is in production today.
See your own numbers move together.
Bring one trial and one month of actuals. We will show you the three-statement model, the variance commentary, and the milestone cascade running on your data.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Milestone Register?
The Milestone Register is the single source of truth for every company milestone: regulatory, clinical, CMC, and corporate. Because the whole model reads from it, changing one date cascades through the enrollment curve, the three statements, burn, and the funding timeline at once, instead of forcing a week of manual rework across separate files.
How does CaladanCore build its forecast?
Purpose-built forecast engines drive the model, covering headcount, OPEX, purchase orders, service contracts, fixed assets, studies, CMC, AP roll-forward, and balance-sheet support. They roll up into a full three-statement model (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow) that reconciles to one source, with budget-vs-actual and forecast-vs-actual comparisons you can drill down to the line.
Does AI generate the numbers?
No. Every figure is computed in code and traces back to a source transaction. AI is structurally blocked from emitting a number, and any number it tries to produce is screened out and logged. AI writes only the narrative: the variance commentary that explains a figure the engine already calculated.
Can I model a scenario without breaking my live forecast?
Yes. Build a scenario alongside your live forecast, compare the two, and promote it into the live model only when you are ready. Promotion passes through a validation gate, and an undo window lets you roll back if the result is not what you expected.
Does CaladanCore automate accruals?
Partly. CaladanCore's AP Roll-Forward engine already forecasts AP and accrued balances with vendor-specific payment timing. Full stage-driven accrual automation is on the roadmap, coming inside CaladanCore rather than as a separate module. Today CaladanCore covers the three-statement model, variance commentary, the forecast engines, and the milestone cascade.
